Dorothy Anna Winslow Hogan, age 78, of Broadway passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington, NC.

Born on October 11, 1935 in East Brady, PA to the late Patrick Winslow and Dorothy McDowell Winslow.  She was a teacher for 30 years and loved making a difference in her student’s lives.  She loved to quilt and creating works of art and loved her family and had a passion for her dogs Dixie and Sassy.

She is survived by her husband Raymond L. Hogan of Broadway, NC; Two sons; Stephen Hogan and wife Becky of Asheboro, NC and Thomas Hogan of Smock, PA.  Three Daughters; Helen K. Hogan and boyfriend Wil Dorta of Cape Coral, FL, Joanna O’Shea of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jeannette Marier Smith of Meadville, PA.  Five Brothers; Patrick Winslow, Edward Thomas Winslow, David Winslow, Alan Winslow, and Paul Winslow. Two Sisters; Susan Mastro and Joan Strousser, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford, NC .
