Michael Dennis Kelly
Michael Dennis Kelly, 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington, NC. Born the eldest son of Robert and Virginia (Brown) Kelly on May 28, 1940 in Whitehall, OH, “Mickey” is survived by his mother and all five siblings—Sharon DeCavitt, Patty Piras, Terry Kelly, Kitty Dellinger, and John Kelly. After serving in the Air Force and graduating from The Ohio State University, he began working as a linguist for the National Security Agency (NSA) in 1965. In 1980 he married Barbara (Meyer) Moreau and together they raised his two children, Claire and Cliff, and her son Christoffe. Upon completion of 30 years of accomplished service at NSA, he retired in 1995 to Fairfield, PA. Hobbies there included yard work, a stint at writing children’s books, creating crossword puzzles for family weddings and graduations, and starting a small eBay business—selling paper collectibles (books, magazines, sports memorabilia, etc.) In 2001, Michael and Barbara (and their beloved cat “Boo Boo”) moved to Weeki Wachee, Florida, taking up golf and enjoying a daily swim. In 2005, they moved to the golfing community of Carolina Trace in Sanford. Michael, or Mike, as he is known to friends, is survived by his three children and their spouses—Claire & Ole Ramirez, Cliff & Amy Kelly, and Christoffe & DeAnna Moreau—and six grandchildren (Tony, Carlos, Kylie, Cameron, Jackson, and Connor) who knew him lovingly as “Pop Pop”. He will always be remembered for his dedicated service to his family and his country, founded in his sense of honor, integrity, and conservative values.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home

Dear Barbara;
Red and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. We didn’t know that Michael was ill. Often saw you both out golfing on Sundays when you went by us on #13 Creek. We are in Florida for a few weeks, and are unable to attend the services for Michael. Our heartfelt condolences; may loving memories help to comfort you at this difficult time.
